Penn Foster Career School is one of America's oldest career colleges. The school traces its beginnings back to 1890. Thomas J. Foster recognized to train injured coal miners to become foremen and superintendents. The school has trained more than 13,000,000 students over the course of its existence, and is now America's largest independent home study school.

In addition to the numerous courses the school offers, Penn Foster offers a Certified Personal Training program. This is a home study program and students can cover all of the course work at home.
